This album which I produced in 1983 is the first one which I did with a totally new electronic concept. I played all keyboards and synthesisers with sequencers plus electric violin on all tracks. It also has memorable contributions on a few tracks by Allan Holdsworth on guitar, George Duke on synthesizer and by drummer Rayford Griffin and bassist Randy Jackson, who were both members of my band at the time. This album is really very special for me.

The album by Jazz Fusion drummer Bob Holz titled “Holz-Stathis: Collaborative” has just been released. I play on one track called “World Turned Upside Down” with John McLaughlin on guitar, Ralphe Armstrong on bass and Billy Steinway on keyboards. When Steinway composed this piece, he sought  to capture the spirit of the musical period when Mahavishnu Orchestra was together. Other guest artists appearing on other tracks are Jamie Glaser, Darryl Jones, Randy Brecker, Alex Acuna, Airto Moreira, Dean Brown, Karen Briggs and more.

Here I am with the 5 string players and the rhythm section who performed at my master class at Clazz International Music Festival in Tuscany/Italy on July 23, 2023.
