• New acoustic release: Jean Luc Ponty, Stanley Clarke, and Bireli Lagrene present ‘D-­Stringz’


    Jean Luc is pleased to announce this new acoustic trio work to his fans, entitled “D-Stringz”, with Stanley Clarke (double bass) and Bireli Lagrene (acoustic guitar), which has been released by Verve/Universal in North America, and by Impulse/Universal in Europe. This new recording features a blend of jazz standards and original compositions from all three of these musicians.

  • Website update: New message board system

    Over the next months the Jean Luc Ponty website will be undergoing some improvements. We have started by replacing the message board with a Disqus commenting system. This switch was done to make things a little easier on the technical front via better spam control and moderation tools, as well as to encourage interaction among fans by providing a "reply" feature and threaded conversation format.
