  • A Taste of Passion

    Chris

    Puerto Vallarta Mexico

I saw you in Chicago about '79 - Taste of Passion is my favorite. I moved to Puerto Vallarta in '83 and lost track of my old life. Recently I got Passion as a cd from Amazon and listen in my car with the sound really loud:) My favorite is Beach Girl, I feel it is my song as the beach is a constant here. I was sad to see you came to Zacatecas and I didn't know. We have a new lovely theater in Vallarta- hint. Do you know about the solfeggio tones ? Do you or would you consider using them? They can change the consciousness of the world - so important right now. Saludos! Beso.

  • JLP's schedule

    BMB

Has anyone noticed how varied the tour schedule is? Jean Luc is touring with RTF until October 14, then on October 31 he does a gig with his regular band in Ireland (I'm guessing they'll play from the most recent repertoire), then days later he's on the South America tour with the Atlantic Years band and THAT repertoire. That really speaks volumes about the calibre of musicians involved here, and we should not take for granted the hard work involved in bringing all of this wonderful music to our ears. Bravo!

  • Rare music by a rare musician and one of a kind....J.L.P.

    Alex Cota

    Toronto Ontario Canada

We are very lucky that we still have some things in this world ,in this lifetime, that remain so special and more like a rare diamond or a rare bird or even a rare motor-bike that may never be available again. I feel happy just to know that we can still see and hear great shows by J.L.P. with Return to Forever , and yet many people out there have never even heard of this great music. Well , those folks are missing-out on something really nice. My favorite bands of all time have always been J.L.P. and E.L.P. So then I say Thank-You for this gift and enjoy the power and the glory. CHEERS!!!

  • Jean-Luc with Zappa Plays Zappa

    BMB

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mvcKIXcKgw Yet another great example of how this year and tour must be a lot of fun for Jean-Luc, shown here sitting in with ZPZ on "Fifty Fifty". I recall an earlier note posted here from Jean-Luc, where he spoke of doing some musical collaborations in 2011. That really has come to pass. And now with the South America tour-this is really going to be a great year!

The Return to Forever concert last night in Indianapolis was simply awesome. A huge part of the pleasure was the legend among legends, Mr. Ponty. Catch this tour if you can - it was an unforgetable night!

  • Bob S's note-South America tour

    BMB

Bob-very informative note-thanks for sharing. Depending on whether the compositions are performed strictly along 70s/80s lines, or have a new twist (such as "Journey's End" in recent years-love the quiet interlude section which builds to a crescendo)-this could showcase an interesting side to William Lecomte. I wonder how much air fare from the U.S. to South America runs... ;-)
