I had a dream, that one day you came again in concert in my city, Marseille. Je ne désespère pas, je me rends compte que je ne peux rien faire pour y remédier donc j'attends... Bon anniversaire Jean-Luc ! Thomas.

Happy birthday Jean-Luc. I hope you have a great day. Because of you, I became a professional violinist and public school band/orchestra teacher. I play for my students, much of your work and tell them that it inspired me enough to continue playing through those tough teenage years. Thank you!

Jean Luc, Best wishes for your birthday. I'm glad you can enjoy this birthday at home, with your family. Hope this is a great birthday for you. Be safe, be well, have fun! Many thanks for your music-it's the best. To borrow a line from a Doobie Brothers tune, "it keeps you running", and quite honestly, to borrow another Doobie Brothers lyric, your "music is the doctor of my soul". You always have a composition that is just what I enjoy, no matter what the situation is. A ton sante, et laissez les bon temps rouler (that's really more Cajun French than true French, but the meaning is hopefully clear).

I will forever be thankful to the friend who gave me a copy of 'The best of Jean-Luc Ponty'. You are the best in your trade. What I admire the most about your music is the freedom you allow the musicians in your band to show their mastery. Though I love Baron Browne, I may have to travel outside the US to see you perform life because I'm a huge fan of Guy Nsangue. The Atacama experience is bliss.

We will soon make some changes to this website and post new photos etc. - I am not sure that we have pictures of Jean Luc being decorated in Paris, as requested by BMB, but I will inquire.

Many thanks for posting the 2010 highlights. While I'm sure the JLP "back offices" continue to be extremely busy-especially (hopefully) with the potential new DVD project and a hoped-for (by fans) 2011 tour-things have seemed too quiet on this side of the pond. And the Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur award is awesome...can any pictures of the award be posted? Best wishes, and please keep us all posted on any developments (besides the upcoming one on September 29th....).

Jean-Luc, I barely remember the gig you did down here at the Knight Center with Al Di and Stan Clarke, but the three of you were just amazing. You went into a Coltrane set and it just blew the audience's mind, including me. Cosmic Messenger is one of my favorite albums. I wish you could get those guys together again, but do hope you'll come our way in the next few months.

Saw the band some years ago when I was working in London, always check to see where you guys are playing - anywhere near the UK and I will try and get there! Your music and violin have certainly inspired me, thank you - hope you are well and everything is going well. Matt Ewens http://www.youtube.com/user/guitar1977?feature=mhum
