I'm not surprised either, it shows in Jean Lucs playing and writing. But hey, Jean Luc, I think you deserve to treat yourself and go listen to some music.

While people may be surprised about hearing he pratices, in reality people like Jean-Luc, Itzak Pearlman, or even Mozart (to go archival and historical on you there) are fanatically disciplined. Or were at some point and have to work to maintain a certain level.

Is it not amazing to hear that Jean Luc, the legendary jazz violinist, still enjoys practicing the instrument? I hope the band tours the East coast this summer.

  • listening to pop music

    Jean-Luc

Hi John D In the 70s and 80s I used to listen to pop artists once in a while, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Sting and others but nowadays between the hours I have to spend on the computer for music as well as for professional emails, fans, family and friends.......and practicing violin, I don't have time to listen to anything anymore.

  • What pop music (if any) does Jean Luc listen to?

    John D

    Huntersville NC USA

Bonjour Michael, I was curious if Jean Luc ever listens to any pop music, for whatever reason(s). For example, my favorite music is that of Jean Luc-of course; nothing else comes close. Even so, I found some videos on youtube of "Chicago" and "Earth Wind and Fire" performing together, and it's absolutely wonderful to listen to-very, very catchy. Same goes for Steely Dan, Jeff Beck, or Sting. So...does Jean Luc listen to any particular pop music? Merci!

If you have an MP3 player or an IPOD, there are many accessories that include radio transmitter that would brodcast to an unused FM station so you could pick up what your IPOD is playing. They typically power off the cigarette lighter.
