    Thank you all for your messages, I don't always have time to respond but I love reading them and hearing from you.

    BMB: glad you appreciated the videos with HR Big Band from Germany. I loved the experience. To answer your question I sold my saxophone soon after switching to playing jazz on violin, I needed the money....lol.

    I miss playing in the U.S. and hope my management will succeed in putting a tour together in 2013. 

    In the meantime BEST WISHES to everyone for a very positive and musical year 2013...!!!

    Congratulations and thank you for the two new videos that have been posted! The HR Big Band is quite a group, and Jim McNeely is a superb arranger. By the way, Jean Luc...now that you've recently performed with a big band...do you still have your saxaphone?

    and to JJ the Ponty Fan: I saw Ravi Shankar in concert in the 60s in Paris and bought some of his albums but never met him nor played with him. However in the late 80s he sent me a message through someone who knew both of us in Los Angeles saying "your music is beautiful." Incidentally the record producer Richard Bock from Los Angeles who discovered Ravi Shankar in India and introduced him to Western audiences is also the producer who offered me my first record deal in America.
